Add a popup embed
Use Popup embed when a form should open as a positioned popup on the host page. Popup embeds can be launched by a button, automatic triggers, or both.
Steps
- Open Publish > Embed and choose Popup embed.
- Select Show Code.
- Set popup width, height, screen position, and visual style.
- Choose Launch behavior:
- Button shows a visible button and does not use automatic triggers.
- Automatic hides the button settings and opens only from selected automatic triggers.
- Button + automatic shows the button and also allows selected automatic triggers.
- For button launch modes, set Button text, background color, and text color.
- For automatic launch modes, choose from Open after delay, Open on page load, or Open once when the visitor shows exit intent.
- Use automatic triggers sparingly. Exit-intent uses a form-specific browser cookie so the same visitor is not shown the same form's exit-intent popup repeatedly.
- Copy the code to an approved staging page and test open, close, focus/keyboard behaviour, mobile layout, popup position, and form completion.
Expected result
The popup opens from the selected launch behavior, appears in the intended screen position, is easy to close, and does not repeatedly interrupt the same visitor after exit intent has already shown it.
